Happy Catholic Schools Week! Our theme this year is “Catholic Schools – Faith. Academics. Service.” To celebrate our Catholicity this week, we have special events planned. On Monday, January 30, we kick off our week quietly, but on Tuesday, January 31, there will be a lot of excitement! We will celebrate Grandparent/Family Day. Grandparents will come for Mass, attend a musical performance by our students, and then stay for lunch. When students go home at the end of the school day, they will bring home a booklet of “Service” coupons to share with their families. Wednesday, February 1 is Student Appreciation Day. Students will be coming out of uniform and share in treats provided by their teachers. Thursday, February 2 is Spirit Day! All of us will dress in black and gold, and then in the afternoon we will participate in a performance by Bob Herzog in collaboration with the Children’s Theatre that will motivate us to be the best we can be! Finally, on Friday we end our week with Teacher Appreciation Day. Teachers will be allowed to dress down for the day, and then we end the day with a chair volleyball game against our eighth grade class. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it! We are truly excited and blessed to be a Catholic School!
